Finance Intern
Purpose of Job:
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve and expand the availability of health care by assisting the finance department in applying principles of accounting to process financial information:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs department scanning including, but not limited to, check runs, book-close supporting documents, employee reimbursements, AP batches, and ad hoc scanning projects.
Functions as back up on preparing daily deposit, including check sorting.
Assists in daily cash reconciliation process.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience: Currently enrolled as a full time college student pursuing a degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Skills: Microsoft Excel, and Word skills are required. Computer skills required.  Effective oral and written communication skills, including excellent telephone etiquette required. Exceptional customer service, time management and multi-tasking skills required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and sit. The employee is occasionally required to move around the facility; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
