The Northern Idaho Crisis Center (NICC) is seeking a passionate, caring and dedicated CNA to join the Behavioral Health team and assist with quality patient care.

This position is for the Northern Idaho Crisis Center (NICC) which provides de-escalation and stabilization services for those individuals experiencing a behavioral health or substance abuse crisis. The individual selected for this position will work under the direction of an RN as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Although prior behavior health experience is not required, applicants should be aware that this position will place them in direct contact with agitated and possibly suicidal individuals on a routine basis and as such a high degree of flexibility, adaptability and responsibility is required.
As a CNA on our NICC team and under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse you will perform various direct patient care activities such as; assisting patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating, collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids, aiding physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed, and documenting patient interactions as needed. 
Requirements & Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred.
BLS Required.  Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or Kootenai Health BLS within 60 days of hire.
